COVID-19 Response: Make A Pledge

Dear Friends,

During this time of great upheaval, social distancing, and anxiety, we continue to be blown away by the way you all stay committed to each other. You are committed to caring for everyone in our City, in the many ways we have been affected by coronavirus. You are courageous, creative and committed. Thank you. And so I invite you to live out that commitment in one more way. Will you consider donating some or all of your stimulus funds to a local nonprofit? These agencies are on the front lines of caring for us all. They have stepped up in incredible ways, under very challenging circumstances, and it is our prayer that we can support them through this time. Some of them serve people who will not receive stimulus funding, making it more likely that people will be stuck on the margins of our community. Let’s keep that from happening.

If you would like to join us, simply make a donation directly to the organization(s) of your choice, then comment with your name, who you are pledging to, and why. We would love it if you would make that pledge a picture on our Facebook page. I know many of you are already planning to offer this kind of generosity, but I hope that sharing what we are doing will give us even more of a sense of togetherness while we are physically distant. Please note, the Interfaith Council is not collecting any donations. This is simply a place to share about the personal contributions we are making.

So join us! Let’s see our love for this community grow together.
