Fort Collins Interfaith Grants 2020

A New Vision

In 2020 the Fort Collins Interfaith Council (FCIFC) grant program will focus on projects that move our mission forward.

The Fort Collins Interfaith Council’s Mission is to facilitate interfaith understanding, cooperation and action towards the greater good in our community.

FCIFC will fund projects that promote the common good in our community of Fort Collins and involve diverse groups of people in both the planning and implementation of the project.

Eligible projects will:

  • Promote dialogue and/or community education to increase understanding of diverse groups and perspectives, and initiate joint action and service.

  • Build bridges between diverse faith communities or diverse community groups within Fort Collins.

  • Occur between October 2, 2020 and September 30, 2021.

This year we anticipate funding a small number of projects, dependent upon available funds and scope of projects submitted.

If your organization is interested in being considered, submit a letter of intent by May 31, 2020 to fcifcgrants@gmail.com.

Your one-page letter of intent should include:

  • A brief description of the proposed project, including intended audience and proposed date and location.

  • How the project forwards the mission of FCIFC.

  • Project partners and their roles.

  • Lead organization’s complete contact information. Lead organization must provide proof of tax exemption and be able to receive funds.

  • Estimated project cost, and anticipated amount of grant funds to be requested.

Lead organizations will be notified by June 15 of eligibility to submit a grant application. Applications will be due July 31. Submit to fcifcgrants@gmail.com. Applicants will be notified of decisions by September 10.

Grants will be awarded to approved projects on Thursday, October 1 at the Fort Collins Interfaith Council Annual Dinner.

Thank you,

FCIFC Grants Team 2020

In 2019 a grand total of $10,000 was awarded in grants!

To celebrate Interfaith Council’s rich 40 year history and to honor Interfaith Council’s accomplishments, it was decided for the year 2019 that we would award grants only to those non-profits that IFC directly helped to start (programs underlined below).

Thus, IFC grant money was awarded to the following organizations:

  •  Family Housing Network supports families experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency in a timely and dignified manner. Family Housing network now includes Faith Family Hospitality.

  • The Food Bank for Larimer County ensures that those in our community who are hungry have convenient access to healthy and nutritious food.

  • Neighbor to Neighbor makes home more attainable, prevents and ends homelessness, and provides stable housing. Neighbor to Neighbor now includes Homelessness Prevention Initiative and the HomeShare Program.

A special “thank you!” goes to IFC’s member faith communities and individual members for their voluntary donations that made these grants possible.  We are better together and mighty too!

Sincerely,

The IFC Grants Team (Lynnette Thayer, Grants Team Chair)
